Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice. Luke 11:28 KJV
It has been established that whatever one does habitually time and time again yields results and leaves lasting impact that can either be positive or negative. Our focus on this issue is on the positive effect of being a practitioner of the word of God, i.e. the overwhelming benefits that come from doing what the word of God demands of you. It is centered on being a doer of the words of God and its principles. Taking an active role will elevate you to stardom, don’t be a spectator, be a participant. Don’t leave your chances with luck, it’s frustrating.
Stop wondering why what is working for A is not working for B; it is the same atmosphere, pastor, church, and word but different application. Effectiveness is expressed in seriousness and readiness to respond to responsibility, don’t claim the blessing and reject the duty that will cement the blessing; it doesn’t work that way. After hearing, it is expected that you put to practice what you’ve been told, let words mean something to you.
God demands your best in your service to Him, He glories in you that is why you must decide not to be mediocre. Paul I know; Peter I know, but who are you? Don’t just be a Christian, participate. In Acts 17:10-11; an account of two Christians (believers) was recorded, but the brethren at Berea were more noble than those at Thessalonica reason being that the Berea Christians received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily to ascertain what they’ve heard. There is dignity in hard work, anywhere you find yourself in life be determined not to give little of your abilities.
Today’s Thought: “Consistency is the bedrock of laudable, tangible, and established feats.”
Keynote: Don’t just attend church meetings/gatherings; attend with the intention of applying into your life directly what you have learnt. Serve God with the intention of knowing Him yourself and having a personal relationship.
Counsel: Don’t just be a hearer; be a doer, swing into action, take responsibilities and be focused.
Prayer: In the name of Jesus I will not miss out from the benefits of doing the word. I receive grace to practice the word of God diligently in Jesus’ name, amen.
