5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7 But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years. 8 So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, 13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. Luke 1: 5-8;13 NKJV
When your personal needs have not been met and you still have the strength to carry on in service and doing what you’re called to do is a sign that God chose you because He can rely on you. Every single person in the Scripture that made exploits and left their name in the sand of time as a reference point had at one point in their life served God and their purpose while hurting. It’s not a bad thing to be hurt, you’ve got to cry it out if you must, but never lose your role because you’re hurting. Zechariah and Elisabeth were in need despite their faithfulness, but didn’t seize from serving God. If you cannot handle the test, then you have to re-examine what it is you’re doing in the first place and re-confirm if truly it is your life’s purpose and mission. The life of Zachariah and Elisabeth is a clear confirmation that those who serve God are not wasted, God rewards service and I am anointed to announce and declare to you today that this day will be your season of release, whatsoever it is that you have been praying for, Jehovah said to tell you that this day and beyond will deliver it into your hands.
Abraham believed the words of the Lord to him that He’ll establish him and make him the father of all nations, yet he was hurting because the promise was in view but the seed wasn’t manifesting yet. At some point Jesus was greatly distressed and asked that the cup be passed over Him, but not His will but let the will of the father be done. Dearly beloved, you must show great strength in times of trials, because trials are indicators that something new is springing forth. Don’t abandon your life’s mission because of pain, with time pain will pass away and God will give you double for all your troubles. Job was another man who despite his faithfulness to God was greatly hurt, but refused to chicken out and didn’t blame God. Your change will come if you faint not. Be strong in the Lord and don’t stop your service no matter what. Trials come to stop you from serving God, but if you stand your ground it will end in massive triumph for your favor.
Today’s thought: “To continue serving God despite personal needs not met is an indication that you love and trust in God.”
Keynote: Inasmuch as it is difficult to serve in times of needs and trials, never ever lose your integrity in trying times and never forsake, insult or curse God. God rewards genuine servers and seekers of Him.
Counsel: Be steadfast and serve diligently. Do your duty with an open heart. And always remember that God makes everything beautiful in His time.
Prayer: Lord, I ask for the grace to overcome every pain, trials and failures that are testing grounds for my lifting in Jesus’ name. May I not be tempted with what I cannot bear, help me to serve in truth and in spirit.
In the name of Jesus I decree that you’ll never be forgotten in that pain, I command your change to spring forth and I prophecy healing to every hurting soul. Begin to experience a new day filled with answered prayers!
