And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater. Hebrews 7:7 NIV
And as everyone knows, a person who has the power to bless is always greater than the person he blesses. Our focus is on honor and the blessing, how to attract the blessing that you can’t reach into your life. Any height or achievement that you may want to reach has been reached by people of old and in the present. There is always a picture of what you want already existing as the reality of someone else. Those who have gone ahead of you will always represent a degree of your current expectations. In some cases you can reach these people one on one and in most cases you can’t even see them but you’ll have their materials all around you. The honor you attach to them will determine the rub off of the blessing and the anointing of God that is working for them to rest on you and be able to reproduce the same result as theirs for you. Some people have stayed with people who would have blessed their life, but out of disrespect and over familiarity they missed the place of honor.
Honor works like praise, anytime you honor a man or a woman from your heart whether they release a word or not, there is a blessing that follows you. Honor is a releaser; it will release into your life the grace of God that is working in the life of the one you honor. Some people are privileged to have their parents alive, and haven’t respected their parent’s well- enough to say to them, “Dad and mom, I am going into this business, or into this career, please lay your hands on me and bless me.” The blessing of parents is such that if it rests on you nothing will make you fail in life. But a lot of persons have trivialized the role of parents in releasing the blessing and as such honor their parents less. Some jobless people have seen employed people and mocked them, and make arrogant remarks like, “is he/she the only one working, and so what.” Instead of them to be happy for them and show honor. Whatsoever you honor will come to you. If you have to call your mate sir or ma’am who is ahead of you or has something you are eyeing, do it with humility, you are not doing the person a favor, you’re only creating a means for yours to happen. Anytime you see what you want, show your honor in that direction and never downplay the achievement of those you admire to be like or people who are successful in the field where you are. Whether you like them or not, there is a grace at work in their life that will change your life, if you honor them.
Today’s thought: “Honor is a magnet that draws one to the person they value, which in turn releases the blessing.”
Keynote: Anybody that represents what you want has the capacity to bless you and anyone that has arrived there before you should be honored.
Counsel: Do not trivialize the achievement of others, show respect and honor. What you value is what appreciates in your life.
Prayer: I receive the spirit of humility and the grace to appreciate what is good even when it is not coming from me. Help me not to downplay the success of other people, may my actions of honor towards vessels of honor attract into my life the blessings attached to such vessels in Jesus mighty name I pray, amen.
