They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even forever. Psalms 125: 1-2 KJV
It is an error to put your trust in man, because man was never wired to be alpha and omega. The nature of man is such that it can fail and disappoint you at any time. Personally I have faced situations in my life where I solely looked up to God for deliverance and help. There was a time I felt someone would meet a need of mine but, all of a sudden it didn’t turn out the way I had imagined it, as I was trying to analyze the situation the Holy Spirit ministered to me that God is the only one who is capable of not backing down from His arrangement. From that day going forward I vowed never to put my confidence in any man to deliver anything to me, the amazing part is that God has upheld me and I have never had any reason to rely on man for help. Reasons to run to man for help will arise, but the refusal to rely on man is a personal decision, instead of relying on man, rely on God. If God has not placed you in the mind of another you’ll be wasting your time asking them for help. God should always be your first point of contact in any situation you find yourself. Man gets tired of helping his fellow human and can avoid the situation that will warrant his fellow man to make a request of him.
Let your trust be in the Lord and not in any man, let Him be the centre of your life and you’ll never be put to shame. Call on the LORD firstly and look up to Him for help. God wants to take all the glory in your life. The Lord’s help surrounds those whose trusts are in Him. When you call on God, He puts your burden in the heart of your helpers and things happen naturally without you struggling to seek for favour or attention. David showed kindness to Mephibosheth because God made him to remember the goodness of Jonathan the son of Saul towards him.
Prayer of the Day: I receive the grace to completely trust in God and depend on Him for my supplies. I receive the protection of God over my life and activities in the name of Jesus. This day and going forward, my trust in God will not fail and His mercy will surround me to help me in all I do, amen.
