So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. Luke 5:1-6 NKJV

The challenge is not getting an opportunity, the challenge is identifying who and what holds the key in an opportunity. The multitude were eager to hear the word of God and noticing two boats, he chose one as his pulpit. He asked Simon Peter, the owner of the boat to push it off a short distance away from the shore so He could speak to the crowd. Simon obliged without question.  This action changed Simon’s life forever. Opportunity is tied to location and what you are doing there. Simon was rightly positioned at the side of the water where Jesus and the crowd where. If he was at the other side of the water he would have missed the opportunity.  It’s important to know who can change your life so you don’t go about disrespecting and disregarding your destiny helpers. To play safe when you find yourself around any opportunity is to treat everyone with respect and honour irrespective of their role. Simon caught fishes he has never caught in his entire fishing career because he identified the key inside an opportunity.  May your eyes be opened to know who holds your key to greatness in Jesus and your key holder shall be willing and ready to help you in Jesus’ name without hesitation.

Prayer of the Day: Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to identify the key in every opportunity. I will not miss out on what is designed to bless me in Jesus’ name. I am blessed, I am going forward, the best part of the year is crowned with the fatness of the Lord for me in Jesus’ name, amen.
