And Solomon determined to build a house for the name of the LORD, and a house for his kingdom. 2Chronicles 2:1 KJV

Determination is so powerful that it can work both ways of good and bad. If you are determined to achieve something good, your will opens up the way of possibilities and the same force of will opens up the door to evil for someone that has determined to carry out wickedness.  You’ve heard or read this common quote; ‘if there’s a will there’s a way.’ Yes it’s absolutely correct, your will determines what way will open.

In 1Chronicles 22:7-11, David disclosed his plan to Solomon concerning his desire to build a house for God but couldn’t because he had shed much blood upon the earth and God in His faithfulness promised David that his son Solomon will build the house. Solomon was aware of the prophecy that was resting upon his head and did not fold his hands, relaxing and doing nothing. Actions are triggers to the actualization and fulfillment of prophecy, responsibility is what brings it to reality. Solomon went into action and was determined according to today’s Bible reading to assume responsibility of building the house.

In 1Kings 6:14, it was recorded that Solomon built the house and finished it. It doesn’t matter how great or how little the prophecy upon your life is, if you’re not determined to see it come to pass by observing the responsibilities therein you’ll never see the manifestation and the finishing of the said word. God allows you to assume responsibilities so that you can handle the success, because success you’re not prepared for will destroy you. A hungry man can pray to God and God will make someone to give him yam or rice, but God will never cook the yam/rice for the man. Inside the answer there’s a duty to perform.

Prayer of the Day: The grace to play my part and role in the promises of God, concerning my life diligently and without distraction is released upon me in Jesus’ name, amen. This weekend will give you plenty of joy.
