And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show yourself to Ahab and I will send rain upon the earth. 1Kings 18:1 KJV
Some people have gotten themselves into problems on the platform of God said to them, be careful what you say God said, because God does not speak all the time. He speaks in seasons. The authority to speak is bestowed on man that is why we have the Holy Spirit. The feelings of the spirit and direction to say and act in certain ways should not be confused with God said. A lot of Christians are using this word wrongly and apportioning to God what He hasn’t said to them. Sensitivity to the move of the spirit is different from what God said. In first Samuel chapter 3, Samuel was being called by God, but it was Eli who perceived that it was God calling the young boy, Eli didn’t say God told me He is calling you. Be very careful with the messages of the spirit, to avoid blasphemy.
Elijah by reason of the prophetic mantle and grace upon his life declared that as long as the Lord God of Israel lives, before Whom he stands, it won’t rain 1 Kings 17. He didn’t say God said it won’t rain. So long as God is acknowledged in the word and power is rightly given to Him for manifestations to show forth it will prevail. No need to say He said, if your standing is sure, your words will be honored. In Isaiah 44:26, the Bible said He confirms the words of His servants. Don’t move to please men by saying God said and lose relevance before God. In Ezekiel 37, God spoke to him first before the bones lived again. Be sensitive to the things of the spirit. Apostle Paul most of the times will say I perceive in my spirit he barely said authoritatively that God said to him. Be guided and learn to differentiate.
Prayer of the Day: Father I ask that You baptize me with the spirit of discernment in Jesus’ name. If there’s any moment in time I have accused You wrongly by saying You said to me when You didn’t, please have mercy on me. Help me to serve You well without mistakes in Jesus’ name, amen.
You will not miss it, the last time you were confused is the last forever in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
