And Samuel said to the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt. Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which He did to you and to your fathers. 1 Samuel 12: 6-7 KJV
Advancement and acceleration in life is one of the many attributes that God is known for. Wherever you see any meaningful achievement in life it is tied to God, only God can deliver a man freely without inflicting the person. He doesn’t need surgical blades to perform creative miracles. His ways are past-finding out. My message to you today is that, it is the LORD that will advance you and bring you up in life, don’t look elsewhere, don’t even trust in any mortal man, rely on the LORD, only Him will advance you and take you up. Samuel was telling the children of Israel their history with God, he was practically telling them and reminding them that you all are here today because the LORD allowed it. He was telling them the words of God that liberated them and implored them to stand still.
When Samuel told them to stand still, he was telling them to stand on the word of God, based on this word that I have told you, let us reason. What’s the word of God that you’ve picked for your turn around change, take it, stand on it and establish it via prayer. His word is His revelation [light.] Apostle Paul in Galatians 2:2 said…he went up by revelation… Anytime believers stand still on the word of God, authority is established and the power of God is released in that direction to perform what His word contains. When Elijah declared that it won’t rain in 1 Kings 17: 1-2, he stood on the word of God in Deuteronomy 11:16-17, that was why the power of God was displayed and the heavens gave no rain for solid three and half years.
Prayer of the Day: Take me LORD to the place where I will experience the realities of Your word. Let me experience Your deep care and love, stretch forth Your hands of help and mercy towards me O Lord. I receive the grace to use your word and see the result in Jesus Mighty Name, amen.
