If your children will keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon your throne for evermore. Psalms 132:12 KJV
You don’t maintain a fortune by merely giving your children the best education, you maintain a fortune by teaching and charging them to keep the ways of the Lord. Blessings are aborted when there is no continuity in practice, obedience and sacrifice. The help of God is progressive. Teach the people around you the secret and direct them to maintain your footsteps. God’s servant Bishop David Oyedepo has constantly said that if you want to walk in the footsteps of a giant follow the path of the giant and in no time you’ll become a giant. Continued practice with absolute obedience is what sustains the blessings.
When David was handing over the kingship of Israel to his son Solomon, he didn’t charge him to use his educational knowledge or any other thing, he instructed him to keep the commandments of the LORD, to walk in His ways, to reverence the LORD so that he may prosper in all that he does. The same instruction was what God gave Joshua after Moses had died. The surest ways to maintain the flow and the help of God are to obey Him and to observe His words. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were able to walk in the covenant because none of them deviated from reverencing God. When Solomon followed after other gods, the kingdom of Israel was divided and he ended up with only one kingdom because of God’s promise to his father, David. Beloved if you want to win and remain at the top, obey the words of God.
Prayer of the Day: I receive the grace to live for God and to keep His laws and words in my heart that I may not sin against You O Lord. I will continue with the blessings of God and I shall not abort it in Jesus name. Every evil wind of distraction sent to distract me away from obeying the words of God is scattered and chased back to hell in Jesus name, amen.
