For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 3 John 1:3 KJV
Who do men say that I am? This is one of the most familiar questions in the New Testament. Mark 8:27-30. Today is centered on our lifestyle. Who do people say we are in our absence? What kind of report do we receive about us? Are you egotistical and full of yourself, are you resistant to instruction? Are you the kind that wants to be listened to and taken serious but does not take others serious or listen to them? Are you teachable? These are questions that require sincere answers, because it’s only when we are open minded and ready to accept the truth that change begins.
When you are good it shows; it does not hide itself likewise evil. We are being encouraged today to live a life worthy of emulation as Christians, we should be road pointers to the truth, when people see/hear us it should inspire them to do the right thing. Recently, I discussed with a group of 4 people that lasted for about 10minutes and afterwards, one of them said to me that beginning from that very moment that he will start studying his bible daily, what touched him was the way I constructed my words and based my words on the convictions of the scripture, the grace of God moved through me and changed the life of the young man.
Every step you take, someone is watching with or without your notice, try as much as possible to live a good life, not in pretense but in truth. You and I are the standards for the world, if we fail to portray the love of Christ; we are not walking in truth.
Today’s thought: “Who do people say that you are?”
Keynote: Walk in truth, and do faithfully whatsoever you do.
Counsel: Practice the teachings of God.
Prayer: Lord, engrace my life with people that will have good reports about me. The grace of God will connect me to my destiny helpers in Jesus’ name, amen.
