Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God. 3 John 11. KJV

There is a standard measure for good and bad. Anything good represents God, whenever you find yourself drifting away from the right things of life just know that you are becoming unlike God and people who behave unlike Him are regarded as people who haven’t seen nor known the Lord. Keeping malice, disobedience and disregard for parents, anger and intolerance for one another are signs that the knowledge of God in a person is low. Our daily activity is what really proves to us and to the world if we know God. The way you conduct yourself in the office, are you a vindictive person or a nice fellow? Do you wish people well or do you want to see people fail? How do you treat your spouse, is it with dignity and respect or with disdain and disrespect? Do you respect your siblings’ rights of decision and free thought or do you impose your intentions on them? Whatever it is that you are doing you don’t need anyone to tell you if it’s good or bad. If you can’t tell yourself what is good and bad then you have completely lost the sense of belonging and have chosen to be indifferent to your ways of life. People who wait for others to always tell them that what they are doing is wrong are not yet ready for life and are regarded as unreasonable, lacking the capacity to tell from good and bad is an indication that you detest truth. If you can’t tell yourself the first truth, hearing it from anyone else won’t make any major difference. Always endeavor to examine your actions and be fast to place it on the scale of good and evil.

Today’s Thought: “People who judge themselves and apply correction turn out to be well-behaved with quality character.”

Keynote: If you do good, you belong to God and if you’re evil you are of the devil.

Counsel: If God will not be proud of it, don’t do it.

Prayer: Father, help me to be ever conscious of my actions towards others, help me to express good Christian character to people I come in contact with. May my life never reflect the evil of the devil in Jesus’ name. I apply myself to be fully used for Your good works. I receive the grace to be a good person, amen.
