And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this your might, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent you? And he said to Him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. And the LORD said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you shall smite the Midianites as one man. Judges 6:14-16 KJV

Man’s inequalities don’t prevent the touch of God. Man will always live in some degree of fears and uncertainty of the unknown, the inability to know what the future outcome will be will always be there but the ability to say despite me not knowing it, I trust the Lord who knows, is the beginning of a journey that will end well. Like Gideon, many have been scared and lacked the inner strength to start something that will define their existence and purpose because of their shortcomings. God is not interested in hearing you list how disadvantaged you are, how unreal it looks for you to be the one making the difference. Why tell the Lord what He is already aware of when you can go all out and start with the little you have or know. God doesn’t use the mightiest or the one who is complete, your incompleteness is the reason why God will use you in the first place.
Whenever you can’t do it or make it happen by your natural power and giftedness, know for sure that it’s a sign that you need the Lord’s touch. So no matter the but’s in your life, God can continue that step with you and give you victory. Don’t hold yourself back from that vision, assignment and purpose, pursue it with the little in your hand and the Lord will give increase. Gideon was the unfavorable one, everything was against him, his background, his skill wasn’t even fit enough but the Lord helped him because he chooses to obey. Think of how you can start despite the odds. Victory in life is rising above visible threats and realities that suggest that you can’t do it, but those realities don’t have the final say, only God has the final say. So rise up and show some faith and the Lord will help you mightily.
Today’s thought: “If you have the courage to start, God will never abandon you on the way.”
Keynote: Your background, what you don’t have and your status cannot stop you from becoming who the Lord has destined you to be.
Counsel: Be courageous and fear not. Those who trust in the Lord are never put to shame.
Prayer: As I go about carrying out my duties and life’s assignment I ask Oh Lord, that You go with me to help me in areas where my strength and knowledge will fail me in Jesus name. Amen! Have a great day!
