Let more work be laid upon the men, that there may labor therein; and let them not regard vain words. Exodus 5:9. And Moses spoke so to the children of Israel: but they harkened not to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. Exodus 6: 9 KJV
Afflictions, delay, frustration, cluelessness, working so hard with little to show for and lack of progress are part of the enemy’s schemes to deter individuals from seeing the real picture. Instead of focusing on God, the situation comes to make you focus on the burden. This is the reason people get demoted in their offices for standing up for what is right, some even get fired and hated by their co-workers. The one mission of every challenge is to make one to look away from the promises of God and to concentrate on the burden or an alternative means to feel comforted. This was the evil machination that Pharaoh used against the children of Israel when Moses brought the news to him that it was time for him to let the people go. He increased their affliction and of course they lost interest in the message that Moses delivered, in fact they wouldn’t listen to him anymore because their spirits were in anguish, the affliction dispirited them and they lost interest in the message and in the plans of God for them.
Maybe you’ve lost interest in the word of God concerning your life, maybe you’re going through something that has made you lose interest in God. You feel forsaken and question the love of God for your life. I want you to understand that God loves you and His right there with you. If you’ll for some moments look away from the harshness of the circumstances and focus on the promises of God and declare them and believe it. I can assure you most definitively that whatsoever it is that life has thrown at you will pass away if you faint not. Trust in God, no matter how difficult it is, don’t turn deaf hears to the words of God, no one can quarrel with God and win. He is the help you need and you need to continue listening to Him and have faith that morning will come with great experiences. You are going to come out stronger than you were, just keep looking up to God and not at the issue. You’ll win.
Today’s thought: “The mission of affliction is to deter the afflicted from seeing and believing the promises of God.”
Keynote: Challenges are to make you disbelieve what is about to happen in your life. Burdens come to stop you from seeing the brightness in tomorrow.
Counsel: No matter what you’re going through per time, let the word of God be your comforter. Listen to preaching’s online if need be and surround your atmosphere with spiritual materials like worship songs, Bible and good books that will keep you focused on God.
Prayer: Father help me not to be too scared of life, assist me O Lord in this journey of life to always have You in sight, may I never encounter what will take Your place in my life. I pray for you today that every situation that has plagued and harassed your life be canceled now in the name of Jesus. By the authority of the Spirit of the Living God I pull you out from that circle of affliction in Jesus’ name, amen.
