Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Psalms 103: 1-2 KJV
The past few months have been marked with fear of the unknown because of the state of the nation, Nigeria. We are in times of uncertainty with too much blood shed in our country. Despite all of these, you’re still privileged to be reading these words today. God is an amazing father whose love for us is never ending. In all of these troubles and uncertainties that have overwhelmed the world, God is still faithful. When you look around you; you’ll realize that His mercy has kept you going and has protected you. It’s the fifth month, the month of May and the meaning of this for you is that it is going to be a month of immense goodness and the grace of the Lord will rest upon your life. Everywhere and anything that you’ll be doing this month will be smeared by His grace. His grace will be sufficient for you in the name of Jesus.
Inasmuch as we look up to heaven with fresh hope for greater release in this new month it is also expected of us to be grateful for the past deeds of God. Gratitude according to Mike Murdock is the seed we sow for more. If you want a bountiful harvest you must be grateful for the little you had yesterday. Never despise praise because of the quantity of what’s in your hand. Your praise is what brings multiplication, good health and abundance. David said bless the LORD, O my soul and forget not all His benefits. What benefit of the Lord have you forgotten and acted as if you brought it upon yourself? You’ll never understand the importance of good health until you’re sick and lying in a hospital bed, that is when you’ll really understand the magnitude of the blessings of the Lord upon your life. No man should ever run out of reason to thank God, expect if such a person is an ingrate. David didn’t write this psalm or expressed his gratitude to God when he was in the palace reigning as a king, he did so while in the desert running away from Saul, it was a moment of great trail for him but he still praised God. There’s never a perfect time to praise God, every moment carries His benefit, identify it and be truly grateful.
Today’s thought: “Appreciation and gratitude is the value that purchases the goodness of the LORD.”
Keynote: Be grateful and live in thanks always to God for His mercy and for His help upon your life.
Counsel: Don’t allow situations or negative occurrences hinder you from praising God. No matter how evil is, good will always prevail. Always look out for good and be positive at all times.
Prayer: Let the Spirit of a worshipper be released into you in the name of Jesus. Those who love God always praise Him, my prayer for you today is that your love for the Lord will increase to the point of no diminishing in the name of Jesus! This month of May, God’s grace, favor and His goodwill will work for my good in Jesus mighty name. The month of May is opened for you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Go and become a conqueror! Happy New Month!
