OBEDIENCE: THE PATHWAY TO FELLOWSHIP

Monday August 5, 2019

SCRIPTURAL FOCUS: For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother. Matthew 12:50 NIV

TODAY’S THOUGHT: “When the will of God becomes your practice, connectivity is secured and stable with God.”

People are looking for someone in high authority to affiliate themselves with, someone to call a father, mother, brother and even sister. Just in search of that one person they can follow and run to in times of wants depending on their kind of demands. It doesn’t matter how many people you know or have, not even the connections you have can give you all of your wants and hear you out when you want them to. Man will always have a limit to any kind of help that he/she can render but with God help is limitless and He never fails. When we obey and do the will of the father, our desires are granted. To be qualified for a discussion and a relationship with God, you must first obey the will of God and make it a daily lifestyle. Jesus is informing us here that blood relation is not the basis or the criteria for securing a relationship with Him, to be related with Him is to be simply obedient to Him and do His will.

In Proverbs 12:13, the bible stated in simple language for us to ‘Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.’ Observing His will is to avoid sin and wickedness. The human mind is designed to identify good and bad naturally, so when your mind makes you restless, watch it again to make sure that you’re not on the path of wrong.

KEYNOTE

Be willing and obedient to do the things of God.

COUNSEL

Let your will be lost in the will of God, only then can you eat the good of the land and make profit.

PRAYER

The grace to live for God and obey Him is released upon you from today and going forward in Jesus name!
