SCRIPTURAL FOCUS: Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 1Timothy 4:14 NIV
TODAY’S THOUGHT: “To neglect your God-given gift is to write yourself off.”
It is an established fact that the gifts of a man maketh room for him, makes him great, and brings him before great men (paraphrased) Proverbs 18:16. A gift opens up the way and ushers the carrier into prominence in life, to neglect your gift and chase shadows is to be a regular customer of frustration, hopelessness and distress. That will not be your portion in Jesus name. Did you know that your gift can make room for you? The answer is yes! Number one is that your gift “maketh;” it simply means to cause something to happen, or an action to take place. It is not something you do once and relax, it is something you do regularly without diminishing interest and will-power. It’s a continuous servicing of one’s gift. Making sure you train yourself to utilize all of your potentials. In the making of one’s gift, there is no room for laziness, solid discipline with focus to accomplish the vision is deployed in its utilization.
Number two is that the gift “Bringeth;” simply means introduces, implying that there’s an announcement. It makes one relevant and important. It is not education, business prowess or High IQ that makes room for you, the gift is the room maker. All other features help the individual to utilize the gift properly. Feed your gift and nurture it, then serve it to the world and you’ll be rewarded. It is in the servicing of your gift that you’ll find real fulfillment, purpose, and contentment with your life. Your gift brings you to your spot of importance in the world and makes you effective and established.
Don’t neglect your gift, embrace it and involve God from the very beginning for His direction and help.
No matter how silly you think your gift is, in it is the ability to go up in life and become a force to be reckoned with if you give it your all and see greatness.
You’ll not be evicted from your spot and you must make sense with what God has deposited on your inside. You must be useful with your gift and those that will hear you must hear you in Jesus name.
