3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent. 5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name. 1Kings 5:3-5 KJV

Peace equals rest, when you’re in a peaceful mode you’ve entered your season of rest. Peace signifies the presence of the LORD, anywhere you see concurrent trouble, God is not there, peace is the mark of the Spirit that God is present in a matter. When the storm according to Matthew 8: 24-26 arose to stop Jesus and His discipline, peace was the response that Jesus released and the storm seized and they continued their journey. Without peace there can never be any meaningful progress, reason why David couldn’t build the temple, he was an instrument that the LORD used to restore peace in Israel.

No nation was built in times of war and no man can make personal lasting achievement in times of personal crisis. For David God gave him inner peace in his dealings but empowered him to destroy the enemy. He was surrounded with enemy nations that he always defeated but He was clothed with the peace of God. Your inner peace influences your personal growth and dominion but the peace of your surroundings is what will determine your position in your dwelling place. Investments don’t come to war regions. Solomon enjoyed the peace around his surroundings, God gave him peace on all fronts and he built the temple and finished it as recorded in 1Kings 6:14. Peace is pivotal to development and the expansion of God’s plan for your life, peace is the platform for growth, where it is absent people miss it but where His peace is present people make sense.

Prayer of the Day: Father in the name of Jesus I receive the grace to walk in your peace for my life, I shall fulfill your intentions for my life peacefully and no force of hell will put my life under pressure in Jesus name. I will start it and finish it strongly by Your grace and power Lord, amen.
