Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. Exodus 1:8 KJV
It is a known fact that people respond better to what they know or have familiarized themselves with over time. Knowledge sharpens speech and speech is a product of the thought which strengthens action. Understanding of the past has a way of influencing the present action that will possibly predict the outcome of tomorrow. Knowledge is behind advancement in life, knowledge therefore is very critical to the survival of man. What you know will determine the way you treat God and people around you.
The affliction of the children of Israel in Egypt started because a ruler that didn’t know Joseph and his deeds ruled the land. He was completely void of the position that Joseph occupied and as a result of that hated the Israelites and ruled them with iron fist. That is what happens when people get married without acquiring knowledge of what marriage is all about, they mess it up and give the institution a bad look and make it undesirable for the younger ones to want marriage. Any area of life where knowledge is lacking is mostly underused, abused and never utilized to its full potential.
You can’t reign in an area where you have limited knowledge, your lack of knowledge will always be displayed in the way you handle issues. Whatever occupation you find yourself in, do yourself a favor by taking time to study and know what it takes to stand tall and be relevant. Some persons are long overdue as followers and are supposed to be leaders by now but because knowledge is little, progress is stagnant. Lack of knowledge prolongs hardship, anytime you find yourself in a particular situation, research the Bible; ask those that have gone ahead of you or knowledgeable people and study other relevant materials on how people that faced similar situations overcame it. There’s nothing that is new under the sun, what you’re experiencing now, someone conquered it and moved on. Be intentional about knowledge. May the Lord help you as you look out for knowledge and lead you to the right places where you’ll find answers.
Prayer of the Day: Father I thank You for the privilege of association with You. Help me to know You more and guide me into knowing myself better and what You have in stock for me. Guide me to all truth and help me to always make sound decisions based on Your word and the understanding that comes from God, amen.
