Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 KJV
What you are standing on determines what you can see and what supports a man will ultimately become his source of strength. If money is your backbone and support system, a time will come when it will fail you, money can give you good medical care but it cannot buy health. Intelligence is good, it will help you maneuver some issues, but a time will come when your intelligence will fail you and you’ll lack ideas. Good-looks are attractive but that also will fade away. Poverty and empty-handedness will also be over and be replaced with abundance. Whatever it is that makes you brag that is not God is vanity and will collapse. Beloved, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Everything can fail, time changes them all, but God is fail-less and changeless. Why not stand on the word of God that is power and cannot disappoint.
The ways of the world are burdensome and with many uncertainties here and there, but the standards of God are easy and straightforward. There is an established standard for living and it is found in the words of God. Anything that contradicts the word of God is against the prosperity of the word in your life. Don’t stand or put your trust on things that will fail and pass away, put your trust in God. The truth is; God has already finished the work; it’s a tested way of living that those ahead of us used and obtained a good result. Let Christ be your support system.
Prayer of the Day: May your minds of understanding be opened to see and behold the benefits of standing in God. I pray for you today that as you decide to make God your standard for daily living, you shall not miss it in Jesus name.
