6 The Lord kills and makes alive: He bring down to the grave, and brings up. 7 The Lord makes poor, and makes rich: He brings low and lifts up. 8 He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has set the world upon them. 9 He will keep the feet of His saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength no man shall prevail. 10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken in pieces; out of heaven shall He thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth: and He shall give strength to His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed. 1 Samuel 2: 6-10 KJV
God has different sides, and basically we humans are the ones that determine which side of God that we get to experience. God can qualify someone who is unqualified in the standards of the world. How the world qualifies you does not carry the final judgment, who determines the final say is God. God can set up anyone and dethrone anyone, depending on your relationship with Him. In verse 9 of today’s Bible reading, it clearly indicates the criteria for being on the same page with God. The Lord will always uphold the righteous and the wicked will always be prone to defeat and mockery. The way God works is that once He takes a man up, He keeps him up, unless in cases when the person forsakes Him and starts to glory in him/herself and forsake the original path that gave them breakthrough. You can decide which side of God to experience today and go forward. It’s either you choose the good way and walk in righteousness or you embrace sin, but I’ll advise you to embrace the good way, because once you are willing and obedient to the laws of God you’ll eat the good of the land.
Today’s thought: “What you practice determines the side of God that you see.”
Keynote: Your life’s practice determines the kind of treatment you’ll receive from God.
Counsel: Do what God wants and obey Him fully. Have zero interest in compromise and do not indulge in wickedness.
Prayer: Lord I pray for the strength to always be found where you want me to be, doing Your will and representing you fully in Jesus name. May my way of life never bring the wrath of God upon me, have mercy upon me in areas where I have misbehaved and abused my privileges in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
