8 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 9 “When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ then say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a snake.” 10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. 11 Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Exodus 7: 8-11 KJV
It’s not every good thing that is from God. Oftentimes people see good things and really appreciate them and desire to have them, forgetting that the devil can do well also but with a prize. Be careful of what you see in others and desire. If you cannot trace and confirm the origin to be truly from God please don’t want it. God performed a miracle via Moses and Aaron by changing a staff to a snake and Pharaoh’s diabolical men did the same. The indication of these is that the devil can replicate some products of God and can use it as a means to divert the attention of people. Desire the real things only by fixing your eyes on what God can give you and not trying to become like other people.
Today’s thought: “God reveals Himself in process but the devil reveals himself hastily.”
Keynote: Identify the process before accepting and desiring the product.
Counsel: Look up to God and not to man. When your focus is God you’ll not be deceived.
Prayer: Give me the grace, Lord, to differentiate from good and evil. In the name of Jesus I will be blessed genuinely and not be deceived into being blessed wrongly, amen.
