7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:7-9 NLT

If you want His blessing, get access to His word. It’s a well-known fact that any endeavor in life has a clear cut pattern and it is not different from our walk with God. The Lord speaking to Joshua after the death of His servant Moses made it clear to him what will bring him to the top, which I summarized in four simple terms:

  1. Possession of will power.
  2. Know the word and do what it says you should do.

III.                 Declare the word and believe it

  1. Strong mental awareness that the word has the potency to deliver.

The word of God to Joshua was to give him awareness, assurance and power; these words settled Joshua for life and it is going to settle yours as well in Jesus name.

It takes character to be strong. You can be strong and lack courage. God is not referring to physical strength here but rather to our mental capabilities and prowess. The ability to remain in His word and enforce it until it manifests. The injection of the word of God is the rejection of the terms of the world. The word gives you the will power and the grit to stay focused and firm, the word redirects your looking to only His angle. The word of God is the bedrock for real lasting success in life. Where His word is every fear dies, if you want to become fearless against anything evil, get His word. His word and fear don’t exist together, anywhere the word of the LORD is there is power, and the powerful doesn’t entertain fear.

Today’s thought: “The knowledge of God’s word is what establishes His promises.”

Keynote: The word of God that you know and do is the word that will bear your fruits.

Counsel: If you want your life secured, know God’s word. Study the Bible and take hold of what God is saying concerning your life.

Prayer: I receive the grace to study the Bible fervently and the help to apply directly the instructions from God’s word into my life. The promises of God over your life shall come to pass in Jesus Name, amen.
