But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. Then came the word of the LORD to Samuel, saying, It repents Me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following Me, and has not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried to the LORD all night. 1Samuel 15: 9-11 KJV

Anything that captures our heart that is void of God should be released immediately to avoid irreversible errors. If it doesn’t please the Lord, don’t allow it to please your heart, because the moment the heart accommodates it, greed sets in and when greed sets in you forget the commands of God and disobey. Don’t give room to thoughts that are against the words and principles of God, don’t even try to analyze it, just release it immediately and focus your thought on something else. Because when we try to analyze what shouldn’t be, the heart is very deceitful and will always give you suggestive ideas that undermine the original plan and purpose of God.

Saul was the one instructed by God to carry out the duty and not the people, he was supposed to guide the people but he behaved alike with them. No wonder God rejected him. The person that received the instruction is the person that will always pay the price if things go wrong. When leaders are not working on instructions they miss targets. If you want to lead well, search for instructions and stick by them. The people went free but it cost Saul his throne and family. Greed is a corrupter of God’s blessing upon a man, what brought Saul down are things that God has blessed him with. God’s word is void of errors, just obey!

Today’s Thought: “If it doesn’t please the LORD, don’t permit it to please your heart.”

Keynote: If His word is what took you out, stick to it if you want to come back in.

Counsel: Don’t overstep your boundary with God, your place is to obey God and not to make suggestions to His plans and purposes. Be man and let God be the LORD. Know your position and remain there.

Prayer: I receive the grace to keep to God’s word and principle. LORD, I ask that Your mercy for me never runs out, cast me not away from Your presence, but shield me and guide me in the way that I should go in Jesus’ name. I declare this day a favorable one for you. You’ll be full today in Jesus’ name. Amen!
